Miners saved from mine cave-in in Hunan

mal wieder Grubenunglück in China (gähn, nichts Neues). Diesmal mit Happy-End nach 40 Stunden. Interessant ist, dass der Grubeninhaber den Unfall verschwieg und erst als die eigene Grubenwehr der Sache nicht Herr wurde, hat man weitere Hilfe herbeigezogen. Oje, Oje, Oje.....

CHANGSHA, Dec. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- After being trapped in a caved-incoal mine for nearly 40 hours, 11 miners were saved Sunday in Liling City, central China's Hunan Province.

The miners are in stable condition, said a local government spokesman. The cave-in occurred Friday morning, but mine owners delayed reporting it till late at night after they had failed to save the miners with their own 40-member rescue team.
The municipal government immediately gathered 61 miners from a neighboring mine to join the rescue, as well as coal mine safety experts and police.

The mine is privately-owned and further investigation is underway.
